ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

12 Stars Film Foundation

The 12 Stars Film Foundation is a continuation of the 12 Stars Foundation. We established it in 2017 leaded by three main goals:

The Beginnings of the Foundation

Over the course of eight years, we have produced 4 films and organized more than 200 screenings and lectures on social, patriotic and religious subjects. We have filmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Israel and Ukraine. All of this to present the history and continuity of our faith in various parts of the world.

We participated in documenting the social initiative '12 Stars in the Crown of the Mother of God', inspired by the Regina Comunita de la Pace Association — for peace and the construction of twelve places of prayer for peace around the world. It is from this initiative that the Foundation derives its name.

Our film "To Rejoin the Nation",which tells the story of Polish repatriates, was presented to audiences in Austria, the USA, Canada, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, and France. We organized over 160 author meetings in Polish schools, community centers, and cinemas.

2020 - 2023

Pandemic

During the difficult time of the pandemic we were involved into planning further activities and worked on screenplays. Despite unsettling times, we were led by faith in fulfilling those plans in a better future. Eventually, that future has arrived and our duty today is to roll up our sleeves and accomplish those ideas.

Help for Poles in Ukraine

Immediately after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, we began providing aid to Poles living in those areas. From March 2022 to November 2023, we completed 48 aid transports to Polish organizations and parishes in Ukraine. We visited Odessa, Kyiv, Irpin, Poltava, as well as places deeply connected with Polish history: Kamianets-Podilskyi, Zbarazh, Ternopil, Lviv, Kremenets, Berdichev, Korets, Zhovkva, Olesko, Chocim, and Jałowiec—witnesses to our heritage and the most beautiful pages of Polish history. Everywhere, we provided assistance to local Poles and Polish parishes.

YEAR 2026

Currently

As a result of changes in regulations in Ukraine, further aid trips to Poles became impossible, so we returned to what we do best – making films.

We live in difficult times, when our identity and traditions are being challenged and threatened. The more pleased we are with the success of our film "For the Intention of Peace",which premiered in South Korea. The film was warmly received by audiences, and its message of the need for prayer and peace was also noticed in Poland and at international festivals. It is proof that faith and the desire for peace can unite people across borders.

We must persevere and preserve our heritage. This time, we will present the figure of St. Maximilian Kolbe in a unique way. For the first time, we will portray his spirituality and legacy. In this way, we will better understand the greatest sacrifice he made: giving his life for another person.
